Becoming the Voice Behind the Brand

Before this voice-over challenge ever crossed my feed, I had already made the decision to start showing up differently.
Earlier this year, I went through a full rebrand—not just of my business, but of myself. I was ready to step out from behind the logo and show people the real person behind the brand. And part of that meant… using my voice.
So when I saw the voice-over challenge in March—hosted by The Personal Brand Accelerator, a community that has truly been sharpening me as a Social Media Consultant and Strategist—I didn’t scroll past it. I welcomed it.
It felt like the perfect next step in the journey I had already committed to.
I wasn’t dreading the sound of my voice anymore. I had made peace with it. And to be honest, I’m not someone who over-records or overthinks content. If I say it once and it sounds right, I’m rolling with it.
But what this challenge offered was practice—not perfection. It was an opportunity to stretch, grow, and get more comfortable using my voice with intention. Not just to speak, but to connect.
Each day of the challenge, I leaned into it. No second-guessing. No chasing flawless takes. Just showing up—present, authentic, and honest. And I did just that with creating 19 voiceovers in the month of March as part of this challenge.
And what I learned? Your voice doesn’t have to be “perfect” to be powerful. It doesn’t need filters or finesse to be effective.
Your voice just needs to be yours.
This experience reminded me that people connect with more than visuals or captions—they connect with your sound, your tone, your presence. And when you let your voice lead, your message hits differently.
So if you’ve been hiding behind the feed…If you’ve been waiting until it “sounds better” or “feels safer”...I want to encourage you:
Use your voice anyway.Let it speak before it’s polished.Let it tell your story, even if it feels new.Because someone is waiting to hear you.
